Out of mounted still photographs Elisabeth Wörndl makes short video sequences of emblematic places, which circle round the subject: metropolis and which are put together like chapters in a book.

"Mexico" stands as a metaphor for travelling, moving in a big city and finding orientation in contemporary terms.

They have a bodily impact and show urban structural elements of the city, modern developments, mass transport and urban realities in mega cities that open up the borders of space and time, illusion and reality.

The pictures also show the anonymity of places, which are found in any mega city and mirror the "placeless society" of our times.
